I design elegant, affordable websites with a beautifully effective web presence.
I love web design and enjoy working closely with my clients, listening attentively, getting to know their needs and expectations, and creating a web presence that expresses who they are and what they do. I especially enjoy creating sites for visual artists, writers and authors, jewelry and other fine craft designers, small business owners, and the wellness community.

How does the process work?
I will meet with you in person (in the Asheville NC area), or otherwise by phone or through email and we’ll discuss your needs and visions for your website. Among other things, I will ask you who your target audience is, what the main purpose of your site will be (i.e. online gallery, professional service, author promotion), whether or not you will provide the content and images, or how much assistance you will need, what you want the look and feel of your site to be, if you have links to sites with aspects you particularly like or dislike, and I will address your questions and concerns. Within a few days, you will receive a project summary and fee. If we agree that we’re a good fit, we will move forward from there.
How long will it take?
I try to have a new website up and running in three to six weeks, but a lot depends on you, the client. What usually makes the process take longer is not receiving what’s required from a client (such as written content and images) in a timely manner.
How much does a website cost?
That depends on the simplicity or complexity of design and function, whether or not the client will provide web-ready content, or how much assistance will be required with copywriting and editing, image searches, image formatting, whether or not special plugins will be installed for appointment scheduling, mailing lists, payment gateways, if galleries/portfolios are to be set up, etc. The cost will usually range from $850 for a basic site to $2500+.

What does responsive mean?
Responsive means that your website will adapt to various size screens so it will look and work great on mobile devices.
Do you redesign existing websites?
I prefer not to work on sites I didn’t build. There are too many variables that can cause problems, including code inserted by others, or the time it takes to familiarize myself with an unfamiliar theme or platform and its customization. That said, if it’s a simple WordPress site, I would consider a redesign, so please feel free to contact me. Otherwise, I’m happy to offer a free assessment of your current website, and ideas for designing a new one in WordPress and Divi.
Do you provide hosting?
No, I don’t provide hosting at this time, but I use and highly recommend Siteground. Click the link on this page to find out more.
Do you offer website maintenance?
Yes. I offer a maintenance package that includes—Wordpress core updates, theme updates, plugin updates, site back-ups and security monitoring. The cost is $300 a year.
What If I need to add pages or change content on my site later on?
You have 30 days from the launch date for small changes on your website at no charge. For larger changes during and after that time, the cost is $50 an hour billed in 15 minute increments, or an agreed upon overall project fee.
