WORDPRESS & DIVI
Unique, elegant, effective custom websites designed in WordPress and Divi
Adapts to different screen sizes so your website looks and works great on any device
Reassurance throughout the design process and continued support afterwards
I design elegant, affordable websites with a beautifully effective web presence.
I love web design and enjoy working closely with my clients, listening attentively, getting to know their needs and expectations, and creating a web presence that expresses who they are and what they do. I especially enjoy creating sites for visual artists, writers and authors, jewelry and other fine craft designers, small business owners, and the wellness community.
And, if you’re among the technologically fearful or a website newbie in need of extra hand holding, you’ve come to the right place.
How does the process work?
I will meet with you in person (in the Asheville NC area), or otherwise by phone or through email and we’ll discuss your needs and visions for your website. Among other things, I will ask you who your target audience is, what the main purpose of your site will be (i.e. online gallery, professional service, author promotion), whether or not you will provide the content and images, or how much assistance you will need, what you want the look and feel of your site to be, if you have links to sites with aspects you particularly like or dislike, and I will address your questions and concerns. Within a few days, you will receive a project summary and fee. If we agree that we’re a good fit, we will move forward from there.
How long will it take?
I try to have a new website up and running in three to six weeks, but a lot depends on you, the client. What usually makes the process take longer is not receiving what’s required from a client (such as written content and images) in a timely manner.
How much does a website cost?
That depends on the simplicity or complexity of design and function, whether or not the client will provide web-ready content, or how much assistance will be required with copywriting and editing, image searches, image formatting, whether or not special plugins will be installed for appointment scheduling, mailing lists, payment gateways, if galleries/portfolios are to be set up, etc. The cost will usually range from $950 for a basic site to $2500+.
What is included?
The following items are included on all sites:
* WordPress set-up
* responsive theme
* home page image or slider header
* logo integration
* site navigation
* contact form
* social media links
* social sharing
* Wordfence security plugin
* free SSL certificate (only on Siteground hosting)
* on-page SEO for 5 pages
* spelling, punctuation, and grammar check
* XML site map
What does responsive mean?
Responsive means that your website will adapt to various size screens so it will look and work great on mobile devices.
Do you redesign existing websites?
I prefer not to work on sites I didn’t build. There are too many variables that can cause problems, including code inserted by others, or the time it takes to familiarize myself with an unfamiliar theme or platform and its customization. That said, if it’s a simple WordPress site, I would consider a redesign, so please feel free to contact me. Otherwise, I’m happy to offer a free assessment of your current website, and ideas for designing a new one in WordPress and Divi.
Do you provide hosting?
No, I don’t provide hosting at this time, but I use and highly recommend Siteground. Click the link on this page to find out more.
Do you offer website maintenance?
Yes. A basic maintenance package includes WordPress core updates, theme updates, plugin updates, site back-ups and security monitoring. The cost is $300 a year. Other plans are available that include content updates as well.
What If I need to add pages or change content on my site later on?
You have 30 days from the launch date for small changes on your website at no charge. For larger changes during and after that time, the cost is $50 an hour billed in 15 minute increments, or an agreed upon overall project fee.

After my original landscape design website had been hacked, Rachelle Rogers was able to locate an archive and incorporate the necessary content into a newly designed site. She patiently took the good parts, enhanced them with great artistic ability, and created for me a website that is pleasing to the eye, offers important information about my company, and features great photos.
—Marsha Crites, Harvest Moon Gardens Landscape and Retreat Center

I love my new website! I did not have a clear vision of what I wanted or how I wanted it to look.
Rachelle possessed the creativity, skill and ability to translate all of my data, capturing and showcasing my services in a manner that I would have never thought of. With all the technical work behind the scenes, Rachelle also knows how to turn it into a piece of art.
—Tim Tizzano, Tizzano Solutions Consulting & Training
I truly loved working with Rachelle. As a seasoned entrepreneur that has designed and marketed my products all over the country and different parts of the world, I found Rachelle to be at the top in her communication, graphic and design skills, and #1 concerning her ability to “read” me and know truly what it was that I was trying to deliver concerning a web site. She has an intuition that is always spot on and the ability to pull the best from you. I’d hire her in a heartbeat again for any project.
—Mark Dobkin, Mark Dobkin Studio, Asheville, NC
Simply said, Rachelle Rogers of Serendipity Digital Design—creative, inspiring, detailed-oriented professional, accented with confidence and a welcoming smile. What was clearly a challenge on various levels, Rachelle brought to reality. Thank you!
—Doreen Day, Tiboron Glass Design
Rachelle created this beautiful functional website for me. She did it with hardly any input from me. She just worked off of my previous older site that needed updating. Being a writer herself, she was able to edit the copy that I already had on my previous website and make it so much more professional. I recommend her highly and am so grateful that I got a website that works. She is very good at what she does.
—Liz Stroud, Asheville Organizing
Rachelle is an amazing, artistic and intuitive web designer. An artist in her own right. My site (a memorial to my husband John Casey, philosopher and artist) continues to receive rave reviews from everyone who has seen it. I believe Rachelle is the only person who could have captured the essence of who my husband was—in so many ways.
Rachelle, working with you was such a pleasure! Thank you for the beautiful web design and tips throughout the process!
